Priya Parikh: IGCSE Chemistry — Privacy Policy

iOS · iPadOS · watchOS

Last updated: 4 September 2026

Priya Parikh: IGCSE Chemistry is an offline course app for IGCSE Chemistry students: the full syllabus, worked examples, questions and progress tracking, available without an internet connection.

Because the app is used by school students, this policy matters. It is short, because the app collects nothing.

We do not collect any data

The app has no analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no third-party SDKs. There is no Technesium server involved at any point.

Nothing about a student — their name, their school, their answers or their marks — is sent to us, because there is nowhere for it to be sent. We cannot see how anyone is doing, or whether they use the app at all.

What the app stores, and where

Progress is stored on the device: which lessons have been completed, answers given, scores, and settings.

If the student is signed in to iCloud, that progress also syncs through their own private iCloud so it follows them between their iPhone and iPad. That container belongs to their Apple Account, not to Technesium. We have no access to it and cannot read what is in it.

Progress is never deleted by a sync: the app is built so that a device coming back online adds to a student's work rather than replacing it.

If you would rather not sync, sign out of iCloud or turn the app off in iCloud settings. Everything continues to work on the device.

Camera

The camera is used only if the student chooses to attach a photograph of their own work, which is stored on their device like any other progress data.

Children and students

The app is designed for secondary-school students. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children — there are no accounts, no sign-up, no email address and no way for us to identify a user.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes everything stored on that device. Turning off iCloud sync and deleting the app removes the synced copy too.

Because we never receive any data, there is nothing to request from us and nothing for us to delete.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
