The Pandit Arvind Parikh app is a reading and listening archive: it carries the whole of panditarvindparikh.org inside the app, together with the Sitar Guru teaching library, so it can be read without an internet connection.
This policy is short because the app does nothing with your information.
The app has no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, no third-party SDKs and no Technesium server. There is no account and nothing to sign in to. We cannot see what you read, what you listen to, or whether you open the app at all.
It does not use the camera, the microphone, your photo library, your contacts or your location, and it never asks for them. There are no permission prompts to decline.
The pages, images, fonts, the e-book and one bundled recording are shipped inside the app itself. Anything the app remembers — your place in a page, the sections you last opened — is written only to your own device and is removed when you delete the app.
The written archive works entirely offline. Two things need a connection, and only when you choose to play them:
When you play any of these, the site that hosts it receives the ordinary information any web request carries, such as your IP address, and — for YouTube and Vimeo — handles it under its own privacy policy: Google's Privacy Policy and Vimeo's Privacy Policy. We receive nothing from them and have no account or analytics with either.
If you never play a recording or a video, the app makes no network connection at all.
The app contains a music and teaching archive suitable for all ages, and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Deleting the app removes everything it stored on that device. Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for you to request from us and nothing for us to delete on your behalf.
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Since the app collects nothing, we do not expect substantive changes.
